......Shelly and I am an environmental journalist and avid yoga practicer. I am currently in the process of obtaining my 2nd dregree at Oregon State University, the home of the Beavers football team. I have resided in Oregon for the past four years, but I am a southerner through and through. I was raised in Arkansas and was raised with southern hospitality and class. At times I have a big mouth and I love iced tea and good conversation.

I love the smell of coffee in the morning and hearing the sound of dress shoes on the pavement. I am a mommy to a five year old, named Skylar and from time to time he shows up on my blog. There is a lot of hatred beyond our front door and Skylar helps me escape that when the door is closed.
